The books are still happening on a weeknight. The useful question isn't what it costs, it's which of those hours would actually leave and which ones would stay with you whatever you paid.
Keeping the books yourself was a way to keep control, and plenty of owners arrive from exactly that decision, tired but still curious, with one company and no controller.
The week is the thing to look at. A price table answers a different question, and a menu of nouns answers a third one that nobody asked.
Evenings. Not a migration plan, not a systems project. Week by week the matching leaves your desk and the sales tax worksheet leaves with it.
Two things stay. A bill over a limit you set, and a deposit somebody has to call a loan or a sale. Those need you, and an honest arrangement says so rather than pretending otherwise.
The evenings come back cleaner when the person doing the matching also prepares the return, because a deposit gets named once, correctly, instead of being recoded in the spring. A Tax CFO is the controller and CFO seat for an owner-run business with the tax work inside it, so the books, the return and the plan come from one desk and the October number is decided before the year ends.
Breadth, on a week this small, is the books and the return leaving from the same evenings. Height is the October number still getting a proper meeting once those evenings are no longer yours.
Open months block the move. If the file is behind, the first conversation is about whether it can support a close at all, not about which nights you get back. We say that when it's the truth, and it often is.
Crossing hours off a week is ordinary work and the person doing it holds no CPA license. Audits, reviews, compilations and other reports on your statements stay with a firm that holds one.
Payroll can be set up here on a provider that stays in your name, and you run it. This desk doesn't press the button on payday and doesn't stand in for you in an examination. All of it is written out on the disclosures page.
Source. What a signature on statements requires is at Texas Occupations Code sections 901.451, 901.453 and 901.456, read 29 September 2026 while drawing a week of evenings.
A sentence about the week is enough. You will be talking to the Steven Palmieri practice. Taking the strip home is allowed.
